Room Estimator allows consumers to organize moving and packing lists with an object detection feature on their IOS mobile app. I did user interviews and usability testing to redefine consumers' needs. I troubleshot the usability problems and unclear visual hierarchy to manage moving items and track moving processes for consumers effectively.

From discussions with developers and design files, the product had usability problems, such as broken links, confusing UX flow, information overload, etc. Based on the issues above, the developers argued the quality of the product wasn’t enough to launch in the market.

I suggested re-designing the product first because the end-users are the consumers, not the movers. The collaboration problem was that there were different perceptions and expectations about the design process between the design team and the stakeholders. Therefore, I conducted a new design process to align expectations with stakeholders. After a discussion with CPO, the stakeholders and CPO agreed to re-design the product.
